Committee, Mayor and council (Veterans Memorial Park)

TO: All people of Conscious, Internet and beyond!

The City that displayed an 1860 Valdosta City Charter that was demoralizing towards Blacks until it was removed after twenty years in early 2004. Then fairly recently Valdosta City elected officials appointed a Special Select Committee after much controversy to come up with a name for a local Park (Barber Park) in the Black community named after a man who did not permit Blacks into Barber Park during America’s ugly and disgraceful period of segregation.

The Special Select Committee did not have one person on the committee who went to jail on May 5,th 2005 over the name change, and held for twenty-four hours without bail for disrupting a Valdosta City Council Meeting. Not one active person from the Peoples Tribunal, NAACP, Operation Push, not one actively involved minister or any other outspoken person from the Black African American Community was on the committee.

The Valdosta Daily times reported on August 23, 2006 edition that the Barber Park Special Select Committee unanimously recommended that the Mayor and Council rename Barber Park, “Veterans, Memorial Park.” It must be noted that Blacks made up the majority on the committee and live in the community.

So in Valdosta and Lowndes County Georgia the Struggle continues in 2006 as to who will have control over our children mind. And why cannot these children like other nationalities have positive images in their own community? What is wrong with that? Images that will make them proud of what and who God made them.

Noting could have done this better in Valdosta than a historical house of truth, knowledge, and hot right information from their rich and honorable historical past.

Instead, as usual too many of us select war and bloodshed over peace, love, inclusion, equality, justice, and positive images. As if God does not hear the cries and pain of the children in this two to three minute VIDEO who have been given bad images of themselves. http://www.uthtv.com/umedia/show/2052/

They are likened unto the original people who came to these shores in the year of 1555, aboard a slave ship called JESUS, captained by one Sir John Hawkins a slave trader.

The Black Africans, now known as Black African Americans were stripped of their name, culture, language, family ties, religion, historical roots, the knowledge of self, and the knowledge of their God. Regardless of what others may say! No other ethnic group in the history of our beloved nation has been made to feel less than a human being than the Original Black Man and Woman in America.

But listen again to what these children had to say. Today, the damage has been done. It started nearly 500 years ago, and I thank God that some of our eyes are NOT too tiny to see the hand, behind the hidden hand, stuck like chuck in our children brain. And unless WE the morale majority do our part this inferiority complex will continue to be passed down to generation to generation to no end.

So again, watch the video, and see the damage others have done to us, and the damage we as a people continues to do unto ourselves. Mainly because we do not know the history of self and too afraid of truth to stand up and be measured by the Plume line of Justice. Amos 7:8.

See, hear, and feel these little ones as they speak from their heart, and remember truth comes to help set us FREE! And this is why I will always stand on truth. And when I can stand no longer. Then like Jesus I must be willing to die on behalf of truth. And in the end truth will win. Amen!http://www.uthtv.com/umedia/show/2052/
